Procrastination is the thief of time – that’s what Edward Young – an English poet and dramatist wrote in “Night Thoughts” and I am not sure any one of us can say we don’t procrastinate at some time or other in our business and daily lives.
Wikipedia says – Planning is the process of thinking about the activities required to achieve a desired goal. It is the first and foremost activity to achieve desired results. It involves the creation and maintenance of a plan, such as psychological aspects that require conceptual skills. There are even a couple of tests to measure someone’s capability of planning well. As such, planning is a fundamental property of intelligent behaviour.
I’ve been doing a little experiment over the last few weeks – to see how much time I waste. Now, by waste time I don’t mean relaxing, reading a book, taking 5 to do nothing other to “Just Be…” or to take a day off completely to refresh yourself as and when you feel the need…

Boy, is that one helluva eye-opener!
